HR Outsourcing

Outsourcing is an option for anybody and everybody who doesn’t have the time and/or expertise to handle the administrative tasks necessary in running their business.

What is Human Resource Outsourcing?

Focus on Growing Your Business

You will find you gain more control over your company because you’re freed from administrative details like payroll, insurance, bookkeeping and more . You can focus on doing what you do best – growing your business – and you will be accessing quality employee benefits that motivate and increase employee loyalty and help you retain your top performers. How it Works

Your company enters into an agreement with us to establish a three-way relationship between you, your employees and Moresource. You and Moresource become co-employers, instead of the traditional two-way employer/employee relationship.

This allows Moresource to provide you with employment administration relief. You can also transfer or share many employer liabilities. Our services allow you to strategically enhance the total quality of your organization, which results in greater efficiency and productivity.

Moresource takes responsibility for HR administration and compliance. Your employees continue to work at your company location, and you continue to exercise control over your business.

To get started, call or email us with questions. When you’re ready, we’ll initiate our three-step process to begin the transfer.

Why Outsource?

Outsourcing, the practice of using outside firms to handle work normally performed within a company, is a familiar concept to many entrepreneurs. Small companies routinely outsource their payroll processing, accounting, distribution, and many other important functions, often because they have no other choice. Many large companies turn to outsourcing to cut costs. In response, entire industries have evolved to serve companies’ outsourcing needs.

But not many businesses thoroughly understand the benefits of outsourcing. It’s true that outsourcing can save money, but that’s not the only (or even the most important) reason to do it. As many firms discovered during the outsourcing “mania” of the early 1990s, outsourcing too much can be an even bigger mistake than not outsourcing any work at all. The flat economy caused many companies into huge layoffs and subsequently outsourced functions that were better kept in-house. Wise outsourcing, however, can provide a number of long-term benefits:

Control capital costs. Cost-cutting may not be the only reason to outsource, but it’s certainly a major factor. Outsourcing converts fixed costs into variable costs, releases capital for investment elsewhere in your business, and allows you to avoid large expenditures in the early stages of your business. Outsourcing can also make your firm more attractive to investors, since you’re able to pump more capital directly into revenue-producing activities.

Increase efficiency. Companies that do everything themselves have much higher research, development, marketing, and distribution expenses, all of which must be passed on to customers. An outside provider’s cost structure and economy of scale can give your firm an important competitive advantage.

Reduce labor costs. Hiring and training staff for short-term or peripheral projects can be very expensive, and temporary employees don’t always live up to your expectations. Outsourcing lets you focus your human resources where you need them most.

Start new projects quickly. A good outsourcing firm has the resources to start a project right away. Handling the same project in-house might involve taking weeks or months to hire the right people, train them, and provide the support they need. And if a project requires major capital investments (such as building a series of distribution centers), the startup process can be even more difficult.

Focus on your core business. Every business has limited resources, and every manager has limited time and attention. Outsourcing can help your business to shift its focus from peripheral activities toward work that serves the customer, and it can help managers set their priorities more clearly.

Level the playing field. Most small firms simply can’t afford to match the in-house support services that larger companies maintain. Outsourcing can help small firms act “big” by giving them access to the same economies of scale, efficiency, and expertise that large companies enjoy.

Reduce risk. Every business investment carries a certain amount of risk. Markets, competition, government regulations, financial conditions, and technologies all change very quickly. Outsourcing providers assume and manage this risk for you, and they generally are much better at deciding how to avoid risk in their areas of expertise.

The Steps to Get Started

Making the transition from internal HR operations to working with Moresource is easier than saying supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

One knowledgeable person from your staff who has access to the employee files and company information (usually this is an owner or the administration/HR person) can make the transition fairly quickly.

  1. We complete a client information sheet on your business.
  2. We sign up your employees.  This includes reviewing your employee files and filling in any gaps.
  3. We inform your employees of any new benefits or perks available to them and sign them up accordingly.

That’s it!

During and after the process you are still in charge.  Moresource takes their direction from you.  You turn in payroll, determine if employees should turn in paperwork to you or directly to Moresource, and assist with the production of the company handbook.  You, or a person you determine, is the day-to-day liaison between Moresource and your company.

Customizable After the Fact

Our services are completely customizable for you, and you can change them at any time as your business grows and develops. Just call us and let us know what you are interested in .

 Discounts are already “built in”

Because Moresource’s pricing is based on the services you need and the number of employees you need them for, discounts are already “built in”.

Outsourcing all that Moresource offers will cost less than hiring one full-time person.  And unlike your own employee, Moresource does not get paid benefits, nor do we want to move up in your company.  We don’t take vacation or sick days.  We don’t mind working late.  We do not require overtime pay when we do work late.  But most importantly, with Moresource you’ll get peace of mind knowing that you won’t have to pay fines or penalties for not getting something just right.  And you will save time, which as we all know, is money.

In over 15 years of business in Columbia, Missouri, our percent of error is 1%.  When we do make a mistake, we discuss it in a staff meeting, decide how the mistake will be corrected in the best way for the client, contact the client to make amends and offer our correction, and explain what we will do in the future to prevent the mistake from reoccurring.

Our relationships with our clients are not just professional – our clients become friends.  We talk about food, home life, the kids, it’s not just “here’s your invoice”.  We know your kids’ names.
